Dr. Nevine Ebeid received her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2007, where her research was focused on countermeasures to side-channel attacks on cryptographic algorithms, especially those pertaining to elliptic curve cryptography (ECC).
Nevine joined Certicom in 2007 where she focused on designing efficient algorithms for hardware cryptographic accelerators and reviewing the hardware implementation under stringent requirements on resistance to side-channel and fault attacks. Her research interests include efficient and side-channel immune implementation of cryptographic algorithms for embedded systems both at the hardware and the software level.
